I’m a new arrival to the guild, so I wasn’t present for many of the activities listed above. It’s great to see what the ICG has been doing in the first year of its life.

I hope we’ll continue to see more people join, and not just YouTubers. I have a YouTube channel, but it’s not even close to my primary source of income, which is my books.

I think independent authors would benefit hugely from an organization like ICG, as we share many similar concerns to online video creators, with a similarly monolithic platform (Amazon) that has a history of making changes without warning that negatively affect its content producers.
